Introducing: Items tuners - picture in picture

You may have already come to the conclusion from the previous page, by the way, that we will not be much smart about picture quality, as it is completely unnecessary to deal with it in the absence of digital reception. Luckily, since we have a notebook, we were able to do TV watching on the street in search of a suitable place. Although the receivers are hybrids, ie they are capable of receiving analogue broadcasts, they, at least with the included small antenna, are essentially useless, a cable TV is enough!

We are the first of our devices to present the USB piece.

Items ITV723

The Items ITV723 is a flash drive-like device. The similarity in form also ends, as not only is its role different, but we also find two connectors on it. At the end is a large antenna socket, and at the side is a small connector called the MVI Cabel Input.

The antenna can be plugged into a tiny stick antenna for digital reception, but you can even connect a cable TV cable here.

The MVI Cabel Input, as its name suggests, is an input where external video or audio devices can be connected. The picture is S-Video or composite, while the sound can be input to the camera in stereo via an RCA connector. Through this connector we can put the image of external devices on the monitor, but we can also digitize, that is, we can record the image stream coming from these devices.

Items ITV320

The second PCI card is not the article writer’s favorite, as we can’t write too much about it. In terms of capabilities, it is essentially the same as your USB device, as it can be used to receive analog and digital television broadcasts, as well as to digitize and steal images.

We can find two small differences, apart from the hardware deployment, of course. One is that the connector of the cable used for digitization is different, the other is that we also get an infrared sensor for the supplied remote control, as the remote control would not be another option after installing the card.

Remote controller

You get the same type of remote control for both devices. It is a rather compact piece, although it can be said to be complete, as it is possible to control all the essential functions with its help. It is easy to use, recognizing the pictograms on the buttons is not a problem.
