Despite this, one of the most successful products of Xiaomi is the Xiaomi Mi laser projector last year. However, success did not stop, because Xiaomi has built a technology that has few competitors, and they have their own solution for much more money than Xiaomi.

In the machine released last year, the hardware was also quite strong, but the point was not what it was, but an imaging method different from traditional DLP technology. The Xiaomi Mi projector uses ALPD 3.0 laser light source technology developed by Appotronics to create the final image with microscopic mirrors (reflective lenses) in the DMD chip that can move millions of times per second, creating the image we see. The number of mirrors is equal to the resolution of the projected image.

We can surely say that the structure is worth the price, but it was questionable what the sequel would be. The perfect one is difficult to dispose of, and the worse would be disappointing. Now that we know the answer to the question of what the offspring can say is that we have got a similarly brilliant piece of work, something we can only nod.

Xiaomi's products are always emphasized. The company's engineers are trying to give us hardware that is beyond the technological side, but also from the point of view of design. The Xiaomi Mijia projector has an infinitely clear, minimalist look. Essentially, it fits in any style room, it does not hang out of its old style interior, but it also looks to minimalist furniture.

The black housing of the device is made of aluminum alloy, CNC machining. In essence, there is only the lens on the front and some connectors on the back. The housing can also be adjusted to a table or cabinet using rubber feet, but can also be suspended on the wall with a separate adapter plate.

Display and Technology

As you will see, the capabilities of the new projector do not reach its predecessor, but at the most important point, that is, the projection technology has not changed. The chip in the Xiaomi Mijia projector contains more than 2,07 million 5.4 fénym reflective lenses. Each lens is like a small mirror that ± They can rotate 17 ° at a frequency of 166 movements per second. The system directs the different rays of color to these lenses (mirrors), which in turn form the image we see. The real resolution of the system is FHD, i.e. 1920 x 1080 pixels, but it is also capable of displaying 4K content, of course converting the resolution downwards. The Xiaomi Mijia projector can project an image with a diagonal of 40 to 120 inches depending on the distance from the wall.

The new projector has a true brightness of 800 ANSI lumens. The OSRAM P1W LED light source chosen for the lighting also plays a role in this, which is able to create a distortion-free image with high brightness, but careful planning was also required. The manufacturer has specified 30 hours for the operating time of the built-in lamp, which means 8 years of trouble-free use with an average of 10 hours of use per day. The Xiaomi projector is an extremely well thought out solution. The center of the objective coincides exactly with the axis of symmetry of the torso, which, together with its small size, compact light path, resulting in 5% more projection brightness than traditional projectors.

One of the important features of the predecessor was that it could be placed directly in front of the projection surface, and it was capable of displaying a huge screen. In the case of the Xiaomi Mijia projector, we should say this about the extras. According to the specified specification, a minimum 40 meter (1 cent) distance is required for an 98 colos. From 2 meters (195 cm), the projected image is already 80 colos, 2 and half a meter (244 cm) from 100- 3 meters (294 cm) with huge 120 colos cinemas.

The Xiaomi Mijia projector has an advanced autofocus solution, so we don't have to adjust the focus, the machine adjusts the appropriate setting in 3 seconds, so the image becomes sharp in a matter of seconds. Another important feature is that the projector does not have to be placed exactly opposite the surface used for projection, such as a screen. We can say that we can do it almost anywhere, because with the ± 45 ° keystone correction we will be able to enjoy a distortion-free image from all directions.

In the tone of such a tiny projector, there can be no great expectations for us. Xiaomi built two-inch 10 watt speakers in the structure.

Additional skills

I think, as has been said so far, that the Xiaomi Mijia projector is an exceptional structure, but we still do not understand the end of the range of abilities. Let's start by saying that the wifi connection built into the projector is two-channel, so in addition to the old 2,4 GHz networks, the newer 5 GHz networks also work. Through the wifi connection, we can easily send FHD content from our phone to the projector so that it is enough to use a single cable to provide power through the use. In addition to wifi, we also get a Bluetooth connection.

Due to its small size, the manufacturer had to build a very thoughtful cooling solution. In the car's house, two extremely quiet and large fans were built, which do not even release more than 26 dB at full load. This is so low noise, which will not bother us to enjoy the movies. 

The Xiaomi Mijia projector uses the same MIUI TV system that Xiaomi installs on its TVs. With this, you can easily choose between media content and even offer different content based on our habits. The program also offers programs for children.

Return to the quality of the image for the duration of a paragraph. The Xiaomi Mijia projector also offers its user HDR image enhancement technology. With high dynamic range video decoding, the HDR10 delivers brighter, sharper colors, more realistic objects, a wider color gamut and a better visual experience. In addition, the Xiaomi Mijia projector uses a Texas Instruments TRP square pixel architecture system that it gives a more detailed picture, so the edges on the movies and of course the subtitles also look much nicer.

As outlined above, Xiaomi missed one of the two most important features of his predecessor. Because of this, the distance from the projector to the wall or to the canvas has increased, albeit only by using the width of a smaller block of housing estates to produce a prominent projected image. Fortunately, in our opinion, a more substantial ability, extraordinary image quality, and image-generating technology have been implemented in this new structure.
