Confirmed by Sony: What's new in the PSP
Sony is trying to make its portable gaming console more competitive with minor innovations.
The first and most important innovation is that we will be able to use the PSP as a game controller for the upcoming PlayStation 3 in mid-November. Additional features will be available between the two consoles, but details were not provided by the manufacturer. As a result of the feedback, Sony has contacted several service providers to set up as many hotspots as possible, so that they can make better use of the device's Wi-Fi feature.
Plans include expanding an online service called Sony Connect with downloadable movies, as well as support for RSS Video in the form of a firmware update.
