LG will unveil two new Google TVs at CES 2013
LG Electronics (LG) will be showcasing its expanded Google TV product line at the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). LG's new models, the CINEMA SCREEN, the GA7900 and GA6400 TVs, which come in a variety of sizes, offer an even more sophisticated user experience.
Google’s latest platform and LG’s motion-sensing remote control with an enhanced Magic Remote Qwerty keyboard further enhance the efficiency of Voice Search, a voice-based search feature, and PrimeTime’s program guide. The enhanced Smart Home home provides convenient, easy access to VoD (Video on Demand) services, YouTube, and other applications, further enhancing the user experience. With LG Google TV's wide range of features, discovering exciting new content is easier than ever. The premium model is based on LG's advanced CINEMA SCREEN design concept, giving it a strikingly slim, modern design.
LG Google TV is designed to redefine the user experience. The easy-to-use platform is reminiscent of the visibility of old TVs. The new Smart Home home page contains different types of “cards” that serve as folders for applications and other content. The new My Interest Card can also be used to display useful information, such as the current weather or customizable news.
The user interface can be controlled with the “point” function of the Magic Remote Qwerty motion-sensing remote control with full keyboard for typing search words. Equipped with advanced voice recognition, the remote fits perfectly with Google's excellent search capabilities. Voice recognition makes it even easier to use PrimeTime magazine on LG Google TV, and even faster browsing between more than 100 movies and series.
The LG Smart TV's dual-core processor makes it easy to navigate the menu and allows for fast internet browsing and video playback. Through processor performance, TruPicture XD technology provides fast and accurate image processing, resulting in richer colors, sharper contrast, and generally better sharpness.
LG's premium model has been given a slim and modern design in the spirit of the enhanced CINEMA SCREEN design. The width of the frame has been further reduced, resulting in a sleek look and the effect of a frameless display. With a few millimeters of frame and a unique-looking base, the LG Google TV fits perfectly into any interior.
Built on the Google TV platform, the LG Smart TV offers great connectivity and connects wirelessly to a variety of devices. With the latest YouTube app for Android, smartphones and tablets can be automatically paired with Google TV over a home network over a Wi-Fi connection, making it easy to stream content stored on different devices to your TV.
Especially for gaming enthusiasts, LG Google TV comes pre-installed with OnLive®, which turns the television into a great, console-free gaming platform. With the app, you can access hundreds of high-quality video games instantly, right from the web cloud. LG Cinema TV with CINEMA 3D TV also uses polarized technology, so movie buffs and game lovers can enjoy 3D movies and games without distracting flicker.
