Intel is tuning in the factory LGA 775 cooler

Although processors that fit into the LGA 775 socket are slowly reaching veteran age, they are still a popular buy in many places because of their good merchandise and relatively good performance, their cooling is now being renewed.

Intel recently shared with the general public its intention to renew its factory cooling solution packaged with LGA 775 socket processors. While it would be an exaggeration to say that the new model would go through significant weight gain and thus performance increase, the minor changes below can have a beneficial effect on efficiency:

  • slightly reduced blades (fan speed will be increased, noise level will not change due to blade redesign)
  • Fan hub diameter increased due to electronic modifications (from 34 to 40 mm)
  • The lamellae of the rib are straightened (currently shows a curved shape)
  • Rib size decreases slightly but further (from 18,9 mm to 18,47 mm)

The new version of the cooler will be included in the boxes containing the LGA 1 encapsulated processor from April 775.
