The GTX 680M was introduced for the first time in the MSI GT70 notebook.

We wouldn’t go into the detailed specification of the GeForce GTX 680M right now because we’ve done it before. Although NVIDIA's internal measurements show that the speed of the AMD Radeon HD 30M can be up to 7970 percent higher, so far it looks very great that such a difference can only occur in extreme cases. Notebookcheck staff at Computex slammed the opportunity and briefly tested the MSI GT70, which was already working on the Greens' new cannon. With a 17,3-inch display, the Core i7-3920XM (4 × 2,9 GHz) guarantees great performance. The system scored 3 points with the default settings of 21DMark Vantage, and was rewarded with 952 points (3.0 fps) when running Heaven Benchmark 1661.

Az Eurocom measurements on the basis of which we get a basis for some comparisons. You can see that the AMD Radeon HD 7970M easily takes up the gauntlet under Vantage, but what about the Heaven test program? The answer to this question is provided by the Alienware M17x (R4) gamer laptop, where the Intel Core i7-3820QM (4 × 2,7 GHz) serves in addition to the "red graphics controller". The result is 1749 points and 69,4 fps.

All indications are that, contrary to NVIDIA’s official measurements, there has been really stiff competition for mobile video cards.
