The first HP iPAQ hw6715 test
Pocket PC Thoughts has released the first quick test of HP’s upcoming new PDA.
Key features of the phone:
- 312 or 416 MHz Intel PXA270 processor
- 64 MB RAM
- 128 MB ROM
- Square QVGA (240 × 240) resolution display
- Built-in keyboard
- GSM / GPRS / EDGE
- Bluetooth, Infrared, GPS with TomTom, WiFi
- 1.3 MPixel digital camera in the 6715 (the 6710 comes without it, probably in the corporate sector)
- miniSD card slot
- Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system
The advantage of the new machine is the updated operating system, but the SD card slot has disappeared and unfortunately the low-resolution screen introduced in the 6500 series has remained, which can cause many more headaches for its users in terms of program compatibility.
