ASUS has announced the interactive DIGITON competition

The digital cities simulated in the competition (“DIGITON”, after the English digital town) must be created online, using eight unique ASUS technologies as building blocks.

The essence of the DIGITON competition is to create virtual cities using ASUS ’exclusive motherboard technologies. The parallel is no coincidence: the development of the world’s best motherboards is little like urban planning, which requires foresight and careful consideration, as well as a focus on user (or resident) benefits and the common good. Building on this thinking, ASUS has announced the DIGITON competition.

One of the exclusive ASUS innovations brought to the spotlight by the competition is DIGI + VRM, the new standard for digital power supply for PCs. At the heart of the new ASUS motherboards, DIGI + VRM offers precision power, even better reliability and overdrive. In DIGITON, it symbolizes the core of cities built by competitors, the soul of technology and efficiency. The TPU (Turbo Processing Unit) overdrive chip and the EPU (Energy Processing Unit) energy management technology will also appear in the competition, as will the new UEFI BIOS with graphical user interface and mouse management. The multi-mode BT GO! Bluetooth controller and AI Suite II add to the exclusive ASUS features, further enhanced by multi-port USB 3.0 and 6GB / s SATA.

Contestants can install these features in any order they like during the game, resulting in a different DIGITON virtual city each time. So competition isn’t just about competition: you can also gain knowledge with it, as it explains PC technologies in a friendly, enjoyable way.

As an award, ASUS will raffle off various models of the new P8Z68 motherboards, depending on the results achieved by the contestants.
