AVG: Aid donation to Kenya

Security company AVG has provided humanitarian aid to support the education of Kenyan children.

The Health Center and Obstetrics Hospital in Itibo is a humanitarian project launched in 2006 organized by ADRA. The Center provides a wide range of medical services to the local population, from simple interventions to major surgeries. Its financial background is provided by public resources and donations.

In the summer, Tomá \\ '' Vejmelka, head of AVG's Reseller Division, visited the Itibo Medical Center to hand over a stationery donation from AVG Technologies to the local primary school.

The stationery was given to the Matutu School, an educational center near Itibo, and delivered to the school by Ale \\ '' Barta, the local leader of the ADRA project. According to the news, the donation means a lot to the school, as it is the stationery and papers that are most needed for education. In the absence of these, training of adequate quality cannot be provided.

Through the Itibo Medical Center, ADRA also provided humanitarian assistance to the refugee camp in Ekerenyo, which was set up by the Kenyan government following a wave of violence following the January 2008 elections. Today, the camp has 2000 residents, 600 of whom are children.
