ATI Radeon X1950 XTX tuning

VR-Zone staff experimented by overclocking ATI’s top card, let’s see what they got.

The core of the Radeon X1950 XTX video card was cooled to -40 degrees Celsius thanks to the compressor solution, giving them the opportunity for a record attempt. Although due to the immature software, the reserves in VGA could not be fully utilized, we can still talk about significant progress. This change, in numbers, means that the operating frequency of the graphics core codenamed R580 + has been increased from the 650 MHz reference value to 927, while the default 2 GHz Samsung GDDR4 memories managed to increase the factory clock by 268 MHz.
