ASUS VG278H 3D screen - with outstanding brightness and fantastic versatility
ASUS has announced its 3-inch, 2 Hz 278D LED display called the VG27H, which supports NVIDIA® 120D Vision ™ 3 technology.
By bundling NVIDIA's latest 3D LightBoost ™ solution, the device offers twice the brightness of traditional 3D technology. The 2 millisecond (gray to gray) response time and 120 Hz refresh rate allow for exceptionally seamless 3D display. However, the VG278H is ergonomically designed, rotatable, tiltable and height-adjustable. It is equipped with a built-in, adjustable-angle 3D radiator for adjusting the most comfortable viewing position for the user.

An uncompromising, immersive 3D experience
The ASUS VG278H is equipped with the latest NVIDIA® 3D Vision ™ technologies: 3D LightBoost ™ doubles the intensity of the three-dimensional image without increasing power consumption, while the redesigned active lock glasses come with larger lenses and a light-shielding screen to make viewing the image more comfortable. The VG278H provides a way to display a wide range of entertainment content in 3D, allowing users to enjoy web video streams, Blu-ray movies and more than 550 popular games in 3D. The built-in variable-angle 3D emitter can also be aimed directly at the glasses for optimal signal reception, while the three 3D infrared modes (normal / CE compatible / LAN party) help to filter out interference from infrared signals from surrounding electronic devices.
Seamless playback
Trace-Free II technology, combined with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a response time of 2 milliseconds, doubles the number of frames displayed per second, resulting in a vibrant, seamless visual display. The VG278H also uses Advanced Dual-side LCD Driving technology, which reduces ghosting and glowing line effects by reducing LCD charging time, and gives a clear three-dimensional image during gaming or video playback.

Versatile applicability
In designing the VG278H, ASUS engineers focused primarily on user perspectives to optimize the screen with Photoshop’s gamma settings, creating the ideal color display for the six most common situations (cinema, night view, landscape, gaming, sRGB, and normal mode). The freely movable stand allows the screen to be rotated, tilted and height-adjusted - the most comfortable way to look. The VG278H supports a wide range of 3D sources; PC connectivity is provided by dual-channel DVI-D and D-sub, and Blu-ray Disc Home Theater Systems and game consoles can also be connected to the device via the HDMI 1.4 connector.
