ASUS Monitors - They're beautiful and they know a lot, isn't that a lot of good?
If we say beautiful for the MS236H - since it is - then for the LS246H only the beautiful marker may be enough. It’s no coincidence that he won the 2009 Good Design Awards in Japan. In terms of knowledge, it is essentially the same as the little salt, but the exterior is something quite different. The basic concept, the slim design, the ring is left on the back. What has changed is the extremely elegant exterior and the quality of the materials used. Suffice it to mention that the material of the support ring is no longer plastic but metal, plus a beautifully machined platinum-colored surface.
We did not mention in the previous display that the ring solution is part of the Ergo-Fitt technology and allows you to change the angle of the display with one finger. This roughly means that it is enough to place your finger on the top edge of the coffee, and for easy pulling or pushing, the display is already at a different angle.
The front panel looks extremely modern. The display and the entire cover are covered by a sheet of glass, which does not separate the coffee from the surface for displaying the image. Some of the disadvantages of this are that it is not recommended to use the monitor with the face facing the window, as you may experience reflections of such a quality that you can shave safely. However, if we pay attention to this, we cannot complain about the quality of the image. We didn’t find a detailed description of the device and the specification is the same as the MS236H, yet, somehow the blacks looked blacker than that, somehow the dynamic contrast ratio to 50000: 1 was more plausible.
We mentioned in the MS that there are no physical buttons on it, this is also true for the LS. What’s more, ASUS has gone even further, with this display featuring a large “scroll” with four touch-sensitive buttons on the inside, and an outer metal ring - which is also real metal, not plastic - that can be rotated to move the menu items.
What, on the other hand, has changed in a more negative direction compared to the monitor presented earlier is the viewing angle. It is suspected that the panel is the same, but in this case the glass plate in front of the display will degrade the image a bit more if we try to look from the very side. As we cannot report any discrepancies in the specifications, we try to include a sufficient number of images in the article, as it is primary to know the exterior of this monitor family.
