Eurocom has announced the world’s first i7 6-core notebook

Although not one or two of the i7 laptops have appeared on the market, we have not been able to buy the 6-core version so far.

The new laptop is available with an Intel i7-980X Extreme Edition or Xeon W5680 processor. Its name is Eurocom D900F Panther. This notebook is not designed for gaming, but rather as a server, as it can only be ordered with Windows Server operating system, the display will be provided by an NVIDIA GTX280M, while speed up to 24 GB of DDR3 memory can be used outside the CPU. The maximum storage size can be 2,6 TB HDD (which is achieved with 4 HDDs). The configuration also includes an HDMI, eSATA and DVI Dual Link connector. The display is a 17-inch WUXGA LCD display with a maximum resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels.

Is the "panther" worth it?

So far, this is all well and good, but unfortunately the price is over $3000 even for the "basic" configuration, which, let's face it, is not a small amount, even if we are talking about the first portable configuration with a 6-core CPU.
