ASUS Lamborghini VX5 - Inspired by speed

On the previous page, everyone could already be faced with how much power resides in the ASUS Lamborghini. Just as a top car is a test drive, a top notch is a test of the test program, as it actually reveals what our unusual treasure is capable of during use.

Measurement conditions:

The VX5 offers several performance profiles for the quad-core penryn. However, its base range is 266 MHz × 7,5, ie 2000 MHz, but in battery mode the multiplier is reduced to 6, so the clock signal is changed to 1600 MHz for less power consumption. In Office and Entertainment mode, the CPU operates according to the original recipe, while activating the High Performance profile, the multiplier jumps to 8,5, causing the clock signal to change to 2261 MHz. What’s really brutal is the TwinTurbo mode, where the 8,5 multiplier remains, the machine touches the FSB at this point and increases it up to 292,5 MHz. The result is a 2486,2 MHz processor clock signal, which is almost 25% overdrive compared to the factory value. The tests were run in TwinTurbo mode throughout.

Battery life:

With a weight of 5 Kg, the ASUS Lamborghini VX3,5 is not a light piece at all, but the 6-cell battery is not particularly large. Keep in mind that the machine also has a quad-core processor (TDP: 45 W), a GeForce (TDP: 23 W), two hard drives and a Blu-ray drive, and the display is large and non-LED backlit, that's all power components result in above-average consumption, which is why we suspected that we would soon have to say goodbye to the vision of several hours of operation. We performed two types of measurements on the machine, the first one was to insert the Rambo 4 FULL HD DL DVD MKV into the drive and then boot it into the player. The volume was set to 50%, WiFi was turned on throughout the measurements. And with these features, the VX5 lasted 1 hour 2 minutes, so we couldn’t watch the movie through it. There was also no significant improvement in converting FULL HD MKV material (which also forced the optical drive to operate due to the DVD source) to a standard low-definition DivX material with a Rescue Me component on the hard disk. replaced, in which case the battery was able to operate the "race car" for 1 hour 14 minutes. At this point, there is still room for improvement in the computer copy of the Reventon, especially for as much money as it costs, although we have to raise it again as an excuse to power an extremely powerful configuration.

Display:

As for the LCD used, we have already said that TN + is a film panel and does not have an LED but a traditional backlight, its native resolution is 1920 × 1080, so FULL HD. With the exception of the latter feature, some are sure to frown, but luckily we can say this is not necessary - in fact! ASUS was also aware that you can't put anything in such a curiosity product, and we were able to make sure during use that despite the use of technologies that were unfavorable to the first hearing, the panel could produce an extremely - almost contrary - beautiful image. The side viewing angles are quite good, the change is a bit more drastic from above and below, but still far above average, so we’d tie the soul of potential ASUS Lamborghini VX5 buyers - so they don’t have to miss the machine!
