AMD Radeon HD 7990 information crumbs
The situation was that the two cannons were almost on the front page.
We got some info on the performance and specification of the AMD Radeon HD 7990 starting this week. It had previously been revealed that the stuff would be a “wiring” of two Tahiti XTs, but there were no credible sources regarding the clocks. It has now been revealed that the GPU spins at around 1,0 GHz (during PowerTune Boost) and the GDDR5-type onboard memories follow a frequency of 6,0 GHz. The Radeon HD 7990, of course, uses the unlimited Tahiti chip, which means a 2 × 2048 stream processor, 2 × 128 texturizers and 2 × 32 rasterization units. In practice, this is sufficient to achieve the scores shown below.
