AMD Phenom II X6 1090T leaked results

It’s close to the start, which is why it gets a few crumbs of news almost every day.

The first measurement results of the most powerful member of the soon-to-be-launched AMD Phenom II X6 series have been published. Of course, since the start is still far away, this information cannot yet be considered official data. Based on the preliminary results, the Phenom II X6 1090T can more or less compete with the Core i7 860. Unfortunately, this only happens under heavily multithreaded applications like most video editing programs. Many applications, including most games, will not show any significant acceleration. For this reason, the Intel Core i5/i7 processors can be considered a more attractive alternative. Only a "user-friendly" pricing would help the situation. AMD's situation is worse in this area as well, because the production costs are higher due to the larger size of the chip. A strange situation can also arise in the lower segment of the top category, because in the sub-$200 field, the Phenom II X6 1035T is up against the Core i5 750.

Processor overdrive is fine. However, 4219 MHz was reached at a relatively low core voltage, with two cores disabled. The reason is perhaps to be found in insufficient cooling.
