AMD FX-8350 CPU at 8,37 GHz
MSI informed the world in a press release that a tuner named Alvinkenzo in Taiwan had managed to operate the AMD FX-8350 (Vishera) processor at 8370,93 MHz.
With this type of processor, this is a world record. To achieve the result, Alvinkenzo used an MSI 990FXA-GD80 motherboard and a lot of liquid nitrogen. The AMD FX-8350 processor has a factory clock of 4 GHz, making this world record more than twice the base clock. The attached image shows that Alvinkenzo only allowed two of the eight cores in the processor, so he was able to reach this clock. The processor received a voltage of 2,04 volts, the base clock signal was 270,3 MHz with a 31 x multiplier.
