AM2 cards from ABIT as well

The time for AM2 AMD processors seems to be fast approaching, as demos for new motherboards appear more and more.

What is less welcome is that we can only learn about the physical reality of motherboards, not their performance.

ABIT, like Gigabyte, comes with two cards. In this case, too, as we did in our Gigabyte news, we will say a few words about the more interesting page. The paper reinforces ABIT’s “Fatal1ty” family, its official name is “Fatal1ty” AN9 32X. Two things can already be clearly guessed from the name. The first is the specialty of cooling and equipment due to the name Fatal1ty, the second is the presence of the two full speed PCI Express x32 interfaces due to the 16X signal.

It is clear that the heat pipe cooling used by ASUS nForce4 was a successful solution, as today we can present the second chipset cooling that works on this principle. This solution differs from Gigabyte's solution in two ways. The first is that only one tile is connected to the heat emitter by a pipe, the second is that the heat emitter is cooled by two fans here. These fans are referred to by the name "OTES" on the block of the heat pipe-cooled chip.

Based on the pictures, we highlight another interesting thing, and that is the ABIT card called “AudioMAX 7.1HD”, which contains the terminals of the integrated sound generator. An interesting solution, which was essentially unavoidable due to OTES cooling, as the fans took the place of the outlets on the north back front of the motherboard.
