Basic features on abit's latest smart motherboard
Modest multimedia machines can be based on the I-G31.
The once brightly shining abit last week IP35P will delight users with another smart motherboard, though, this model has arguably even more modest capabilities than its P35 counterpart.
From the name of the I-G31, you can already guess that it is based on one of the "blues" chipsets including a basic integrated graphics core, which, although it offers DirectX 9.0c support, is limited to 2D applications only. The good news, however, is that the board supports both two and (probably) four-core processors operating on the latest 1333 MHz system bus, i.e. if you like, the I-G31 is a cheap but durable microATX solution.
