ASUS 'new netbook can run for up to 9,5 hours

The ASUS Eee PC product family will soon be able to grow with another member: the 1000HE will lead the way to the competition mainly due to its outstanding operating time.

In terms of the hardware capabilities of the trifle, it differs from its predecessors in several respects: although this time the performance is provided by an Intel Atom processor, instead of the usual N270 model, a new, slightly improved version is already roaring in the engine room. In line with the CPU, the chipset that served it was also replaced by ASUS engineers, namely the Intel G40. One of the virtues of this chipset is that it finally supports the playback of HD quality material on hardware, which is by no means a side factor for multimedia use. For the same reasons, it can be beneficial to use a 10-inch LED-backlit panel, just as a 160GB hard drive can come in handy when you head to a movie. Significant progress has also been made in terms of battery performance: the 1000HE can be operated by the manufacturer for up to 9,5 hours on a single charge. A special, high-density battery, complemented by ASUS 'own Super Hybrid Engine power management software, is primarily responsible for achieving outstanding value in the field of netbooks.

Equipped with a Bluetooth 2.0 controller, Wi-Fi, and an integrated webcam, among other things, the device is available for approximately $ 400.
