Intel Celeron CPU is working on the latest ASUS Eee Box
The price is not known, but it is certainly cheaper than the "atomic" B202.
Under the 203 (H) × 222 (W) × 178 (M) millimeter housing of the ASUS Eee Box under the model name B26,9, of course, there is an Intel-based platform, but this time it is not the well-known 1,6 GHz Intel Atom CPU the soul of the configuration, but also the cheaper but more modest 1,2 GHz Intel Celeron C220 processor.
The Intel 945GC + ICH7 pair, of course, also includes IGP - something other than the outdated but perfectly fit Intel GMA 950 hiding under the North Bridge enclosure. A minimum of 512 and a maximum of 2048 megabytes of system memory can be stored in the machine, the modules are DDR2. Data storage can be provided by conventional HDDs - with a capacity of 80, 120 or 160 GB - SSD is not optional. The integrated device camp is augmented by a gigabit network controller and Azalia ALC662 sound processor, as well as a 5-in-1 memory card reader, 802.11n Wi-Fi and 2 + 2 USB 2.0 ports and a DVI output discoverable side, back.
