The series features four mice, of which there is not much difference at first glance, of course the devil lies in the details: the black EC1 and EC2 have been rubberized, and the former ECW and EC1 are also found in its counterpart, a few millimeters larger size difference, but they have already been given a smoother, glossy coating. The resolution of the rodent optical sensor can be increased up to 2 dpi (also with on-the-fly settings), the 2000 Hz USB refresh rate allows a response time of 1000 ms, the cable has 1 meters long, 2 programmable buttons together with the roller , and above a lifting distance of 5 mm, the "ground" below them is no longer detected.
The products will be on the shelves of specialty stores in a month's time at a price of 60 euros (~ 17 forints). Zowie Gear comes with a five-year warranty on its customers.
The manufacturer also gave a little insight into the work of the last 12 months. A total of seven different sensors were tested, including laser and optical solutions. Eventually, as a result of a series of tests, they rejected modern laser technology and opted for an optical solution. But why? We could ask. Zowie Gear’s position is this: Most players prefer fabric-based mouse pads. The continuous movement of the mouse, on the other hand, slightly destroys the structure of the fibers, and due to the static electricity generated due to friction, small particles can stick to the lens, resulting in inaccurate movement during play. Of course, the problem also affects the optical sensor, only it is much more “undemanding” and therefore less sensitive to it.

The manufacturer is also especially proud of the mouse wheel. An optical encoder has been used instead of the traditional mechanical system, and its rolling system has also become quite sophisticated, ensuring that the Zowie caster is currently the most durable and accurate on the market.
