Toshiba is trying to assert itself with a 14-inch Ultrabook

The laptop with a "thickness" of 19,9 millimeters weighs 1,59 kilograms, but the hardware is protected by an aluminum or metal housing. The second-generation Core ULV Sandy Bridge processor is supported by DDR3 memory, although more precise information about these components has not yet been revealed. You can ask for a 128 GB SSD or a HybridHDD from the back storage - the latter has 16 gigabytes of (cache) SSD. The resolution of the 14-inch display is also unclear, we guess at 1600 × 900 pixels. The Gigabit Ethernet, b/g/n WiFi module and Bluetooth cannot be left behind, and the proudly advertised Toshiba Hi-Speed Start technology results in a fast boot time. As an output, we only get one full-size HDMI, but in 2012 we have no problem with this, especially since USB 2.0 "comes" with the USB 3.0 ports. With the SleepCharge technology, we can even charge our smartphone, even if we have switched off the notebook. The Satellite U840 will arrive sometime in the first quarter approx. At a price of 1125 dollars, unfortunately, the magical MacBook Air dream limit was not crossed.
