Tamron has announced a new zoom lens
Tamron has announced the patented SP 24-70mm F / 2.8 Di VC USD (Model A007) lens.
Because the 24-70mm F / 2.8 Di VC USD is a high-speed zoom lens (maximum aperture F / 2.8), the VC system must guide the lens faster than other zooms. Therefore, the shape, size, and arrangement of the coils are all designed to have sufficient thrust.
The Tamron VC (Vibration Stabilizer) is a three-coil system in which coil conductors activate the vibration-compensating VC lens group using electromagnetism. The VC lens element holds the steel balls in place with smooth movement and low friction. This stabilizes the image in the viewfinder with excellent tracking performance. The new implementation uses a swing coil mechanism and reduces the load on the drive system.
The price and availability of the SP 24-70mm will be announced later by Tamron.
