In addition to expectations, Telenor's unique mobile internet service called "Klikk", launched in April 2011 for those with a traditional telephone, performed. In view of the great interest, Telenor will renew the service in the autumn, as part of which the offer will be expanded with new content.
Christopher Laska, CEO of Telenor Hungary, said that Klikk has achieved its original goal of making the Internet accessible to as many people as possible, as tens of thousands of Telenor customers who have not used such a service have been able to browse the phone before. Since the launch on April 5, 40 percent of those registered have not previously tried the Internet on their mobile phones or arrived at the company as a new customer.
Telenor data shows that the majority of Klikk users primarily visit websites that require a permanent online presence on their phones. Facebook was the most popular among customers: between April and July, the number of page downloads rose significantly from 10 million to 85 million.

The essence of the Klikk service is that registrants can connect to the World Wide Web from their mobile phones free of charge for three months, with a monthly data limit of 100 MB. With the Opera Mini browser optimized for mobile phones, web pages can be read on a smaller screen, and thanks to its special data compression technology, it handles less data traffic than average. The browser is also becoming more and more popular among mobile internet users in Hungary, which is partly due to the Klikk service: according to statistics, after the launch of Klikk in April, the number of Opera Mini users increased significantly, more than 30% of devices use this browser for internet.
Success is common.
For those now familiar with mobile browsing, the Opera Mini home page features several pre-configured web pages, selected according to the user's habits, which can be modified at any time. New features on the page include Google Search and Opera Mobile Store, which allows you to download applications available for traditional phones.
The title page of the renewed Klikk also includes the mobile version of the RTL Klub website: thanks to the cooperation launched by Telenor and RTL Klub in September, spectators of the popular reality show, ValóVilág 5, can influence the everyday life of their favorites in the villas. In addition to Telenor's mobile site, Facebook, Index, Startlap, Sportgéza and Gmail will still be available among the speed dial buttons.
