Sony has announced two new HD cameras
Slowly but surely, this segment is also developing.
The previous (compact) flagship, HDR-CX12, has been replaced, as the successors have arrived: HDR-CX500V and HDR-CX520V. Actually, it is not about two different cameras, but in accordance with today's trend, one of them - in this case the 520 - has a double built-in memory, which means 64 GB - since it is AVCHD cameras, there is no tape involved, and therefore an internal "memory card" " we can talk.
The new models (gross) come with a 6 megapixel 1/2,8″ sensor, of course they record 1920 × 1080 images – even in (non-native) progressive mode. The latest BIONZ processor brought several novelties with it. The maximum still image size of 12 megapixels produced using the interpolation process can be called almost average, but there are a few other interesting things here. The 500s are already equipped with "3-way shake canceling" technology, which, according to the manufacturer, minimizes the problems caused by shaking/hand tremor more effectively in almost all directions. In addition to the traditional optical stabilization (OIS), an improved electronic protection has also returned, which can be switched on and off from the menu (Standard and Active mode). This step is interesting because EIS significantly reduces the effective number of pixels involved in image creation - however, 6 MP may already provide a solution to this problem.
With Face Touch technology, you can easily tap the subject’s face on the 3 ″ diameter touch-sensitive fold-out LCD screen, and then the camera will make the necessary settings automatically. It is very gratifying that the lens has also been developed, which Sony says provides even more perfect production than its predecessor. Mention should also be made of Exmor R technology, which makes the sensor perform noticeably better in low-light environments.
In addition to these, there are countless features to explore, but with that, we’re closing the list of features and now we’re only indebted to the prices - not for long: the 32GB HDR-CX500V 1100, while the big brother, the 64GB HDR-CX520V 1300 he needs himself for a dollar.
