SanDisk's management has decided to increase its influence in the SSD line, at least in the corporate segment. As a first step, a company called Pliant Technology was acquired to develop SSDs for the corporate sector. SanDisk is paying $ 327 million in cash to the California-based company and its undisguised goal is to be able to make a lasting impression on the SSD line as well, though they will only focus on the corporate segment for now.
