Ricoh’s private cloud won the ‘Project of the Year’ award at the Green IT Awards

Ricoh and Infosys' design and implementation team won the "Best Cloud / Virtualization Project of the Year" award. "

The project team has created a scalable, flexible and agile IT platform for Ricoh Europe. The infrastructure will allow more than 1000 servers to retire within the EMEA, saving 16,8 tonnes of CO2 emissions, equivalent to 3350 cars.

Ricoh’s private cloud is part of a project in which the company seeks to centralize the IT infrastructure of all European subsidiaries, thus creating a more efficient IT environment. The cloud allows the company’s employees and customers in Europe to securely access data and applications from any device. The project will make a major contribution to Ricoh’s environmental strategy, which aims to reduce energy emissions by 2050% by 87,5.
