The hybrid SSD that fits into the PCIe x1 slot is capable of 300 IOPS

A special Solid State Disk was unveiled by DDRdrive LLC.

Coming from DDRdrive LLC’s workshop, the DDRdrive X1 is essentially a hybrid Solid State Disk drive that fits into a PCI Express x1 slot and combines a total of 4GB of DDR and 4GB of NAND flash memory. However, despite the unusual pairing, the data transfer speed of the product is by no means outstanding due to the nature of the PCIe x1, although the 155 MB / s write and 215 MB / s read speeds are by no means slow.

However, this was not the goal when DDRdrive X1 was created, as the product's IOPS performance (number of output and input operations per second) is something to pay attention to, as 512+ IOPS per second when reading 300000-byte blocks and 200000+ IOPS- able to. In contrast, an average SSD can handle about 100 IOPS.

The DDRdrive X9,91, which consumes up to 5 W and comes with a 1-year warranty, is also available in RAID 0, RAID 1, or RAID 5 and costs $ 1495.
