There has long been a great deal of interest in the innovative project, which has appeared in various technology forums around the world, but this year the Phoenix Investment private investor group, managed by InvestLife Zrt., Has decided to raise capital. The majority ownership remained with Digital Natives, but from June 1, Mixgar will continue to operate as a stand-alone company. Private investor is still Gerzson Huszár, the head of Mixgar, the CEO. Mixgar will play at 4 major festivals this summer, EFOTT, Hegyalja, Campus and SZIN, at the PEPSI video disco.

The Mixgar online music app has two uses: professional and house party. With the former, it targets pubs, restaurants, shops. The playlist becomes visible to all guests with a smartphone as soon as they check into mixgar.com using the QR code on the site with their device. With the help of the online application, guests can influence which song is played first and which is pushed into the background in the list. And with the help of the Facebook button next to the songs, they can publish where they are partying and for which number, which helps the venues to appear on the social network. In restaurants and shops, Mixgar uses DJs to put together a quality-controlled music package that best suits the profile and style of the venue. Venues pay a monthly fee or receive the service as a sponsorship of major brands.

The house party app also allows users ’favorites to be added to the playlist, fully democratizing music selection using favorites specified on Facebook, Last.fm, and defined on Mixgar. The house party version is currently free to use and can be tried by anyone at mixgar.com. In this case, too, guests arriving at the party can take part in the collective mixing using their smartphones. Neither the professional nor the house party version requires any special hardware: you don’t need anything other than a PC, the internet, and participants ’phones to get the party going.

“Together with the owners, we have set ourselves very specific business goals for the next 6 months. We will spend the capital infusion on development and the realization of our commercial and marketing goals, ”said Gerzson Huszár.
