It’s time for GoPro to take it to the next level. The company has just announced a new 360-degree VR camera called Fusion, which will get 5.2K resolution.

GoPro is a pioneer in action cameras, but so far we haven’t gotten a camera capable of capturing a full spherical panorama from them. And the market would probably demand it, as there are plenty of frames available that can be used to create a 6-degree image using 360 GoPro cameras and software.

The manufacturer would have to create something percussive anyway, as in the market for traditional cameras, Chinese manufacturers are growing on their heads and have been abandoned in 360-degree solutions. The drone business didn’t come in either, as the Karma Drone, heralded with great dirrel durr, also failed when it turned out that there were power outages in flight in a structure that couldn’t be called cheap anyway. We can imagine what effect this may have had on the drones in the air.

In the third quarter of last year, the company was forced to post a loss of $ 104 million, but according to their press release, they are optimistic about 2017. They expect double-digit growth to return to operating costs below $ 650 million thanks to their new products and improved Karma Drone. If so, the company could turn a profit again.

For our part, we’re looking forward to the new camera, as the 5.2K resolution sounds pretty salivating!
