Gigabyte has introduced the 990FXA-UD3 1.2 motherboard

Gigabyte has introduced the 990FXA-UD3 1.2 motherboardGigabyte's latest motherboard will support AMD FX processors when it hits stores, but of course the old ones will support all AM3 and AM3 + compatible processors.

It's not hard to guess from its name that, of course, the 990FX North Bridge will be present as the motherboard's wit, and the chipset will get help from the SB950. As this is a recent revision, it comes with a BIOS that comes with support for FX processors coming in mid-October. The central unit will be powered via 8 + 2 VRM and meets the requirements of the UltraDurable 3 Classic; it has DualBIOS support, long capacitors with a lifespan of up to more than 50 hours, and a two-ounce copper layer designed to provide adequate insulation for the PCB. The motherboard supports both Nvidia SLI and AMD CrossFireX solutions.

We get four pieces of DDR3 memory tracks, which can operate in two-channel mode and can reach up to 2000 MHz with tuning. We have two PCI-Express 2.0 16x, two PCI-Express 4x and two PCI-Express 1x interfaces. For completeness, we even get a PCI connector. On the PCB we find six SATA 6 Gbps connectors, 2 eSATA 3Gbps connectors with JMicron controller, 4 USB 3.0 interfaces, which got Etron controller, two are on the back panel and two can be routed to the front panel, we also have a FireWire and also a Realtek RTL8111E gigabit network connector. The sound is provided by a Realtek ALC889 audio codec, which can handle 8 channels.

Of course, here too we get AwardBIOS spiced with HybridEFI.
