The case of the GeForce 7800 GTX and Unreal Tournament 2007

An interesting image leaked out of the ranks of NVIDIA comparing the speeds of NVIDIA video cards during Unreal Tournament 2007 (!).

The released GeForce 7800 GTX created an interesting situation, as currently in the tests of all major websites the significant differences between the 7800 and 6800 series could be shown at values higher than 1600 x 1200 resolution. Yes, that's why it would be good to know what the newcomer would be able to do in the games coming out in half or a year's time, as many people are now arguing about their speed advantage, not considering it enough, even though there has been a generational change.

This is why the image released today, in which the new Unreal engine provided the basis for the tests, is interesting. The picture shows that under the new engine, the GeForce 7800 GTX has an incredible advantage over a GeForce 6800 Ultra, beating the 6800 Ultra SLI combo to a great extent. What does this mean? One is that the development of the new engine is progressing well, I hope the CityStreet2 demo will be released sooner or later. The other is that maybe this would be the real solution for testing the new NVIDIA card, demonstrating its knowledge and strength, as the incredible graphical environment already seen in the UE3 images puts the cards in a completely different ordeal.
