The dual-layer rewritable DVD also handles ASUS optical drives

The ASUS reader comes in both ATA and SATA versions.

The DVD-E818A2 (ATA) and DVD-E818A2T (SATA) optical drives come with state-of-the-art technology: QuieTrack and Airflow Field Modification, as well as the so-called Auto Vibration Reducing System for vibration reduction.

ASUS units play single-layer DVDs 18 times, rewritable 10 times, double-layer DVDs 8 times, rewritable dual-layer discs (DVD-RW DL) and DVD-RAMs 5 times, CD-R discs It reads 48 times and rewritable Compact Disk media 32 times. They are not at all suitable for writing, their raison d'être is highly questionable, but ASUS can say for itself that it is the only optical drive that can handle DVD-RW DL discs. The only question is, where do we get such media, for how much and yet why do we write it ?!
