Samsung will unveil its VIA-based netbook at CES

Samsung will premiere the NC20 netbook at CES 8 from January 11-2009.

When laying the foundations of the NC20, Samsung surprisingly did not vote for the Intel Atom, instead choosing the undeservedly ignored VIA Nano processor, namely the U1,3 with a clock signal of 2250 GHz. Thanks to information from Notebook Italia, the main specifications of the portable computer have already been revealed: the diagonal of the display is unusually large in the field of netbooks, 12,1 inches, 1 GB of DDR2 memory and a 160 GB hard drive are hidden under the device housing, as well as a 1,3 megapixel a camera and a 3-in-1 memory card reader have also been integrated, and as far as communication and data transfer options are concerned, there is plenty to choose from, as Bluetooth 2.0, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and gigabit LAN are also part of the "package" . The weight of the NC20 is approximately 1,5 kilograms, and its price is expected to be around 450 euros.
