The press is loud from Canon: here’s the C300

Currently, Arri Alexa and RED Epic dominate the film industry, the latter has already come up with Scarlet, and Canon will send the C300 into battle against them. The device is actually a replaceable lens camera, on which we can either mount the manufacturer's popular EF lenses or use PL bayonet solutions used in the industry (two separate versions are made). The specification doesn’t seem breathtaking anyway, but anyone who saw the camera shots was happy with it. The images on the 8,3-megapixel Super-35 CMOS sensor are powered by the Digic DV III image processor. FullHD videos can be saved to a CF card, two of which (card reader) are immediately available on the C300, in addition to HD-SDI output on the compact camera. Of course, everything could be said about it, just not that it would be nice, but its small size makes it at least as easy to use as it would be video with an average DSLR camera. As usual, you can work with a viewfinder, or you can even connect an LCD to the device. In addition, Canon offers four new EF Zooms (two 14.5-60mm and two 30-300mm) as well as three EF standard lenses (24mm, 50mm, and 85mm) for 4K resolution. The Canon EOS-C300 will be available in January 2012 for $ 20.

Before the promo pictures, let's take a look at the first short film made by the camera, Möbius, as well as the accompanying "how it was made".
