Buffalo says PATA is not extinct yet

IDE and USB 2.0 connectivity on an SSD. Interesting mixture.

Starting in April, the Buffalo SHD-NHPU2 series will be expanded with a 2,5 ″ MLC (Multi Level Cell) NAND flash memory storage later this month. The new high-capacity model attracts attention with 256 GB of storage and a PATA / USB 2.0 interface. The drive has a 64 MB cache and a data transfer rate of 101 MB / s. The company wasn’t heartbreaking on the novelty’s pricing because shoppers overseas have to put $ 1220 on the table.

According to Buffalo, PATA is not yet extinct 1
