This time, BiTMICRO stepped forward and introduced its 416GB SSD as part of the E-Disk Altima family. The 2,5-inch ATA133-coupled storage unit is said by the manufacturer to be able to maintain a read and write speed of 100 MB / sec on a permanent basis.

Samples of E-Disk Altima drives will be shipped in the first quarter of 2008, and series production may begin in March 2008.
