CES - 4K resolution in the new BRAVIA family

Thanks to the improved 4K X-Reality PRO imaging engine on the new BRAVIA TVs, you get unprecedented detail and lifelike images from any source, whether it's a Blu-Ray movie or a smartphone-recorded video clip.

For detail-rich image quality, the uniquely developed TRILUMINOS screen combines ultra-realistic colors. To achieve an even more natural and vibrant color world, Sony has also integrated QD Vision’s “Color IQ” optical component into the new screen, making the displayed sky bluer, giving faces a more natural skin tone and making the most difficult-to-reproduce colors, shades of red and emerald green as well.

Of course, the sound quality has not been left out of the line of improvements either, Sony's own Signal to Sound technology focuses on realistic sound. As a result of optimizing and refining audio signals, the system reproduces lifelike sounds from the roar in a crowded stadium to the quietest whispers, completing the experience of realistic images.

The new BRAVIA brings seamless entertainment even when using mobile devices. The NFC-compatible Xperia smartphone connects to BRAVIA TVs with a single touch and can then be used as a remote control or display photos, videos and games stored on the phone in much better quality than the original recording.

Developed for Android and iOS devices, TV SideView also lets you browse, record shows, and discover new content.

The company has crowned technological advancement with a new television design, Sense of Quartz. The harmonious balance of the new design world is created by timeless geometric shapes: the massive rectangular panel almost flows through the circular base, which is completed by a lightly glowing strip of light under the Sony logo.

The new BRAVIA family will be available in Europe from April 2013 and the BRAVA X9005 from July 2013.
