LibreOffice and The Document Foundation are 2 years old
The Document Foundation (TDF) is celebrating its second birthday today.
Last year, the foundation was officially formed in Berlin, with members electing members of the board of trustees and the membership committee. TDF membership consists of contributors to the LibreOffice project, only active contributors can be members who undertake an additional 6-month activity by applying. Also the result of the past year was that Intel became a supporter of the LibreOffice project and LibreOffice 3.5 and 3.6 were released. In addition, a prototype of the version running on tablets and in the cloud has been completed, but it will take time to become a product, and their release is expected by the end of 2013 or the beginning of 2014.
