There are few apps in the Windows Store

With the advent of Windows 8, Microsoft not only introduced a new interface, but we also got the web store system we are already used to on mobile systems. Today, in the mobile market, it has become apparent that the success of a new operating system depends largely on how much and what quality of software is available for it. This is no different for desktop systems.

Windows 8 also has a rather special problem with the Metro UI. The new interface requires new-minded programs that not only need to fit externally, but also adapt to touch-screen control.

The number of programs for Windows 8 seems to be growing quite slowly. The system, which debuted on October 26, had 9000 apps available at launch. That number reached 27 by December 35, but growth has slowed considerably since then. In the last month, only 4000 new programs have been added, so there are currently 39 applications available for download.

The question is whether the slow expansion of the range is only temporary, if so, we can attribute it to the beginning of the year. However, if the number of apps grows only to a similar extent in the coming months, Microsoft will want to rethink how it could persuade developers to support version eight of windows.
