150 Mbit / s speed in Csongrád county

Invitel has made significant improvements this year in Csongrád County; as a result, by October, about 35 families will be able to connect to speeds of up to 150 Mbit / s on the Internet or switch to IPTV, the company's regional manager said in a press conference in Szeged on Thursday.

 

Gábor Lalia said: the largest digital development in recent years has been implemented in the Southern Great Plain region; as a result, one of the most modern optical networks in the country is being built continuously in Szeged, Szentes and Makó. While last year only 6 households were equipped with this technique, by October this year, that number had risen to 35 in the county. The development affected 1500 households in Makón, 6500 in Szentes and 26 in Szeged. The company is also continuing to develop in other areas. Maintaining the dynamics, the possibility of connecting another 500 households to the system next year is promised in Csongrád county.

Nationwide, there are about 1,1 million households in their service area, of which about 130 households have completed the development, which is about 12 percent. Next year, an additional 10 percent development is planned to increase the developed area to 22-23 percent. The goal is to reach 50 percent within a few years. Simultaneously with the network development, the company's top management was completely transformed and the service portfolio was expanded. In the new television packages, for example, subscribers can now choose from 18 HD quality stations, which is currently the largest in the domestic market. In addition, the company is the only major carrier to make HBO GO, a world-new mobile interactive TV service available.

Invitel serves more than 20 customers in the corporate market, while it has 750 subscribers in the retail and small business segments in the digital television, Internet, mobile Internet and voice services markets. The number of its wholesale partners exceeds 250. The company currently employs about 1200 people. In the retail sector, its annual turnover is about HUF 40 billion.
