At 1442 MHz, the GeForce GTX 680
Kingpin has re-created, but has not yet kept his previous promise to reach 2 GHz operating frequency with the GeForce GTX 680 card.
The graphics processor of the EVGA GTX 680 SuperClocked graphics card was pumped up to 1442 MHz with air cooling, for which the core voltage had to be changed to 1,212V. Just a reminder, the aforementioned controller follows a default clock speed of 1058 MHz and the GPU Boost raises it to 1124 MHz. Compared to the latter, overdrive stopped at roughly 28 percent. In Performance mode of the 3DMark 11 test program, the card produced 5 points with an Intel Core i7 3960X drawn to nearly 12745 GHz.
The gentleman, known and recognized in tuning circles, once again presented himself with a new challenge. [+]
