Xiaomi AIoT AX3600, Xiaomi's first WIFI 6 router
Unfortunately, the new technology is not cheap in China either, but it still beats domestic prices.
The new WIFI standard and the extra bandwidth it offers are rumored, all that would be needed is for prices to drop to an acceptable depth.
The new Xiaomi router, as its name suggests, is capable of a total speed of 3600 megabits per second. Of course, as we have become accustomed to with multi-channel, and so on all routers in general, only theoretical speeds that we will be struggling to achieve at home. Regardless, the bandwidth available by the new standard is still a good 50 percent higher than the 2100 megabits of the best AC standard devices.
In practice, the Xiaomi AIoT Router AX3600 can handle 574 megabits at 2,4 GHz and 2402 megabits at 5 GHz. As we have become accustomed to with modern multi-band routers, the higher speed, i.e. the 5 GHz connection, is best achieved in or in the adjacent rooms where the router was located, if we go further, possibly with more walls or doors away, then we will use the 2,4 GHz band.
Xiaomi routers are very good in this respect anyway, as the built-in software treats the two frequencies as one. In practice, this means that we will no longer see two routers on the Wi-Fi network, but only one, and the router will decide on which band to serve the device. From practice, I can say that this is extremely convenient and even more effective.
Of course, the new router is also equipped with Ethernet connectors, there are four in number. One of these is the WAN connector, to which we can connect the incoming cable of the Internet, and the other three serve the local wired network. Needless to say, all four battles are capable of gigabit speeds, making them a good choice for domestic gigabit internet connections as well.
The extremely successful new router can be purchased pre-ordered for the time being, but as usual, it still comes with some discounts. Unfortunately, the first 30 pieces are already sold out, so we don't get the best price anymore, but if you are in a hurry, you can still put it in the basket for 47 thousand forints. If you overdo the price, I suggest you look at the domestic supply and domestic price levels.
