Wolfdale CPUs are also supported by the latest integrated Asrock board

The manufacturer’s latest motherboard was designed based on the well-known Asrock recipe.

Numerous examples and products demonstrate the manufacturer’s move to provide older, out-of-date chipsets with support for the latest processors, popular with users with thinner wallets. Feeling the headwind of the Penryn fever, the manufacturer has now announced another old-new board that proudly proclaims its success with dual-core processors codenamed Wolfdale.

The Wolfdale1333-GLAN / M board carries the 945 GC chipset, known for its slightly older solutions, on its printed circuit board, the A2 revision of which was obviously of great help in creating the handling of the new 45nm CPUs. Accordingly, the motherboard can easily provide up to a 1333 MHz system bus, however, due to chipset limitations, memories can only operate at 667 MHz. According to the GC signal, the North Bridge contains the Intel GMA950 integrated graphics core, which can pinch a total of 224 megabytes of storage from system memory itself. The south bridge is the good old ICH7, which can handle four SATA II devices and two PATA drives. The voice and network traffic were entrusted to Realtek chips by the engineers, the former bearing the model number ALC888 and the latter RTL8111C.

The motherboard with the Vista Premium logo will probably appear on the shelves of stores in Hungary soon.
