Nvidia also helps port Windows 8 apps to ARMNvidia has taken another step towards becoming the largest Windows 8 support title. This time, it helps to translate programs into ARM.

It's no secret, there are news every day now about Microsoft and Nvidia's ever closer relationship, of course with Microsoft's upcoming operating system, the ARM compatible part of which is more interesting for Nvidia. The Greens announced months ago that they want to be the reference for Windows 8 and will do their best, including being the only one to offer a four-core system at 40nm by the time Windows 8 starts. They are not the first to be heard in software either, they announced a few weeks ago that they want to be the first here as well, so they have set up a driver development team for complete portable devices to program the best possible driver for the latest Windows.

This time, a separate program was created, where the developers use the PC version of the programs to create the ARM versions of the apps with the best possible compatibility. "Thanks to an elegant user interface and support for netbooks and tablets using ARM processors, Windows 8 can radically change the market." said Jeff Fisher, vice president of Nvidia's PC business. "Our expertise in ARM and x86 environments and our perfect knowledge of the Windows base code make us unique developers of Windows 8."

Nvidia, through the Windows 8 Developer Program, would provide adequate resources to assist in software research; and would provide the most up-to-date and appropriate quality of programs with up-to-date information, training, and education. Mike Angiulo, one of the corporate vice presidents responsible for design, hardware and the PC ecosystem, also made positive statements about the deal and Nvidia’s plans.
