Western Digital Caviar Blue SATA 6.0 Gbps hard drives come

WD is further expanding its SATA 6.0 Gbps family with three new Caviar Blue HDDs. For now, they have one such product, the WD2001FASS 1TB Caviar Black.

The "Blues" with 6.0 Gbps support will be available to customers in a 3,5" format and in capacities of 320 GB, 500 GB and 640 GB. The 32 MB cache uses Advanced Format technology (4096 byte sectors) and can be recognized by their AALX ending (e.g. WD6400AALX)

The new hard drives aren’t available for purchase yet, but they’re likely to hit store shelves in the coming weeks.
