Sony's latest headphones offer wireless audio transmission

The MDR-RF4000 accessory can bridge distances of up to 30 meters.

Sony recommends the new shape as an addition to home multimedia equipment, accordingly, when creating the device, excellent sound quality and long-term comfort were both primary considerations. In order to increase the feeling of comfort, the manufacturer uses a wire-free, digital RF connection for sound transmission, which, in terms of its range and immunity to interference, definitely proves to be a better choice than the technologies used in previous models. The device is powered by a NiMH battery, which the user can charge directly in the headphones using the supplied dock. The special feature of the minimalist-looking base station is that it is not necessary to connect the "earbud" with a power cable to start charging, as it is done without wires.

Equipped with advanced energy management methods, the manufacturer claims that it can last for about 7 hours on a single charge, but it doesn't matter if the movie lasts longer, as it can be powered by a standard AAA battery if needed.

Sony has not yet announced the expected purchase price of the MDR-RF4000 or the date of its launch.
