Buyers hold the Nikon D800 and Canon EOS 5D Mark III

High-end machines from both popular manufacturers will land in the hands of customers this week. Not only in the US or Japan, but also in Europe, there are happy new owners these days.

 Nikon 800

The 36,3-megapixel Nikon D800 went on sale on the old continent on Wednesday, while it became available across the ocean today, at least for Nikon Professional Services members for sure. The full-frame CMOS sensor provides the best resolution on the DSLR market today, complemented by a 51-point autofocus system. The cheaper version of the camera, which comes in two versions, will cost $ 3000, while the later D800E body will cost $ 3300.

B&H Photo already has the Canon EOS 5D Mark III in stock, which also has a full-frame CMOS sensor, albeit "only" 22,3 megapixels. On the other hand, the autofocus is 61 points, and the highest ISO sensitivity is 102. The new camera can record 400p1080 videos, and with a kit lens it costs $30 at the store just mentioned.
