Unigine engine is already supported by Apple
Unigine Corp. has announced that its popular gaming engine will now fully support both Mac OS X and iOS.
With this step, the engine with amazing visuals already fully covers the supported platforms, in addition to the former, support for Windows, Linux, PlayStation 3 and Android has been implemented before. As a first step in development, three months ago, the Oil Rush naval game was already being tested under Mac OS X, and its porting went smoothly.
Of course, Unigine-based GPU test programs (Heaven, Tropics, Sanctuary) have also received full Mac OS X support, so with more of the same visuals, more powerful Mac hardware can give you higher scores. The SDK version of the Mac-compatible test programs available to developers will be available soon and for free, and a similar emphasis will be placed on mobile platforms, so the Passage and Crypt demos, which can be run on Android, will now be available on iPhone / iPad devices.
